Comparing with US counties, parishes of density not greater than Park, from 1970 to 2020, there were 447 Sparse US counties out of 667 with a slower growth in population than the Park. The Park performed better than 67% of the Sparse US counties. There were 2.3 million persons out of 5.8 million (41%) living in these Sparse US counties.
